The Arroyo Project was established through funds provided by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).
The focus of the project is in improving water quality in the Arroyo Colorado, a water body identified as “impaired” by TCEQ.
Phase I of the project (years) focused on developed a Watershed Protection Plan.
Phase II of the project began in 2007 and is now seeking grants and other forms of resource development to implement recommendations in the Watershed Protection Plan. Contact Information

The program target agricultural producers who are users of Rio Grande Irrigation water, Irrigation Districts who manage the water, and urban landscapers.
The program is supported by Congress and administered through the Cooperative State Research, Education, and Extension Service (CSREES). Contact Information
