AgriLife Extension and South Texas lost a strong leader and a friend on August 2.  Bertha Garza, retired District 12 Extension Administrator, succumbed to cancer after a yearlong battle.  Our thoughts and prayers are with her husband, Raul, her daughters Cynthia and Erica, and her entire family.  Memorial services will be held in Brownsville.
